I just want to say that I am very appreciative of Marri and her crew for doing their part in "VOLUNTEERING" to run the concession stand to provide food/drinks for us and the spectators. I ran the concession stand many years ago, I have been on the board several times and I have volunteered at the track on and off for the last ten years. I have seen both sides of all of this...but there are two bottom lines here....
1) Yes we need to provide the best service we can to our spectators so that they will continue to come to RSR and watch the performers/racers - whatever you want to call us. We can only provide that good service if we have the proper funds and volunteers to do so. Marri and her crew are doing the best they can and I think that it will only get better as the season progresses...like she stated before...her crew is new and needs to be trained. Just like in any other job - new employee means training and TIME!
2) VOLUNTEER, VOLUNTEER, VOLUNTEER....I am sure Marri would welcome some help!
I have gone up there many times and I have seen both long lines and no lines at the concession, but guess what PEOPLE that happens at EVERY VENUE you go to! So give them some time to work out the bugs and I am sure there will be very satisfied "spectators" sooner then you all think!!!!!

There will be work days this weekend, Sat/Sun. We will be starting between 9 and 10 am. Please bring any tools that you think may be of some use. I believe there will be trash to be dumped, weeds to pull/burn, fencing to fix, electrical to fix, painting of walls, signs to be hung, etc.

Here are the rules:
1) Choose who you want to win in each class main event. You may list the class or the driver number (some of our fans dont quite know the name of drivers).
2) If you FORGET to post a class, you may ADD an additional post by stating in your post "THIS IS IN ADDITION TO MY PREVIOUS POST" or something to that effect, and you will not be disqualified, BUT you may NOT change any of your picks from the previous post.
3) You can not choose the same exact driver picks as anyone previously posted or you will be Disqualified (DQ'd).
4) If you choose a driver # and that driver does not start the main, does not finish the main or does not show up that night to race, you will be given last place "Bingo" points for your pick.
5) "Bingo" points are awarded as follows: 1 point for each winner pick, 2 points for each second place pick, 3 points for each third place pick and so on.
6) The Bingo player with the least amount of "Bingo" points (meaning they chose the highest ranking drivers) wins the round of Bingo.
7) Each Bingo game will be officially started by "mrs26j" or "Retta" ONLY; each game will close at NOON on the day of the race. Any entries after the game closes will be DQ'd.
8) Special events like Mud Bogs, Demo Derby, Mechanic Race, Powder Puff, Kris Kringle do not count. DTC will have a special "Bingo".
9) If you "edit" your post at any time, you will be DQ'd.
10) A new thread for each BINGO game is started for every race night. Your picks must be posted under that nights race BINGO game to count. If you post under a previous BINGO game, your picks will not count.

It was great racing...I have two things to say about the Pro Stock main event...
1) When the cars involved were coming out of turn two, Robbie actually really had no where to go when he was fish tailing out of the corner to try to pass on the outside, hit the stalled car and unfortunately rolled his own car.
2) As everyone is quick to "judge" when to and when not to throw a "caution" flag, as the flag man "reminds us all" that he tries his best to throw the yellow on the leader, in this case (of course just from what I saw with my eyes), even if the caution would have been thrown sooner or before the leader got to the flag stand (who has already half a track ahead of the rest of the pack), Robbie was already passed the flag stand and would have had to "race to the yellow" to keep his position anyway... it is unfortunate that the 64 car was stalled in the outside racing groove that Robbie chose to utilize as he tried to pass on the outside....
I am very happy that Robbie walked away and is ok as well as Mr Nevers, I wouldn't wish injury upon anyone...
But like LARA has said for YEARS, if you don't like what is going on or don't like the way the track is prepped, then VOLUNTEER or RUN FOR A BOARD POSITION...WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS and we can only do so much with the handful of volunteers that do help.

We probably would have been there, but we had our Easter Dinner that day since my stepdaughter had to go home to California on Easter day...
