To all owners, drivers and prospective owners/drivers. Sprint class needs to hold a meeting to decide what we are going to do or not do. The earlier the better. The 3L can not attend on the following dates 10/29 11/5 11/11& 12 & 13 11/19 any other date we are available. Will travel! Schedules are completed and tracks are wondering what we are doing!!!

Is the class going to go wingless? If its up for debate I will make plans to go race over the hill next season. If its wingless only you can count me in.

TWReno. You're name isn't Renowest on other sites is it? I'd like to talk to you either way. I'm pro wingless also. It will never happen in NV though... At least there is finally sprint cars in NV.

Thats me, it needs to happen or the class will never get going. There are cars all over northern Nevada but no one runs not to mention getting the Norcal guys up here.

Wingless I'm in. Wings I'm out. Hell, five wingless cars just on this post !! Can you say NNSC ? Northern Nevada Sprint Cars. Can you say Quincy, Susanville ? Can you say a SET Purse ? and never have to hear "sorry, we had less fans come in the front gate then expected "

I am running Joe hunt series. Just want to race with more cars. Wingless seems to be where everyone is going, but California is having problems too so who knows whats gonna happen. We are treated like red headed step children here in Fallon.Lovelock pays well treats the sprint cars great but no one will show up so i don't need to say anymore.

well i shouldn't give Fallon such a bad time it's tough all over. Sprint car drivers and owners need to have a meeting to see what we all can do to make the sprint car series a success.I was having a pissy moment.Sounds like California is just as screwed up as nevada from what i read on the thread from twreno's post. I don't care if it's wing or non wing just want to race with more than 4 cars. Only 2 nights with eight doesn't cut it. More cars better show more money simple.Tony Taylor

Tony from what it sounds like the Hunt series is only going to run at two tracks next year.

Racers are racers and we are always going to b!tch about something. I will say that the lowest car count I saw at MRP was 8 wingless. GREAT RACING. Not to mention GREAT TRACK PREP EVERY WEEK. And people who actually care about dirt racing. ALL FORMS. You're gonna love it Tony.

Ok, I just counted (could have missed a couple), counted 10 winged sprints that I know have run in Northern Nv. at Fallon and Lovelock. I have counted 5 that I know of that have wingless and have or have not spoken up on this thread. OBVIOUSLY there are guys who love sprint cars in Northern NV. There are 2 more winged Sprints that I know are out there but have not run. I'm sure there are more wingless that we haven't heard from. Let's get together ALL OF US! and talk about all this. It looks to me that NN could end up with 2 budding but healthy classes. I know for a fact that Lovelock would run both and if someone had both kinds of cars they would space them out so you could run both if you wanted. Of this I can assure you!! I will offer to find a spot to hold the meeting. How about the 17TH of November? That's out there a ways for everyone to get ahold of everyone they know who might want to come. Suggestions where to meet? This NEEDS to happen! Sprint Cars do it sideways!

Mo, I don't see the 2 classes both surviving. It either needs to be one way, or the other. And, also, there should be a REAL series. Maybe if Lovelock could support the Joe Hunt Series for a couple of races (maybe 2) it would help put Lovelock on the map. I would love to be able to race at Lovelock but, as stated above, people don't show up to race there. i don't know if lovelock could support it, but you never know. if they charged $45 for driver, and $35 per pit pass you can figure approximately $150 per team. That is figuring an average of 3 pit passes per team. I don't know if it can happen, but I think it would be great for the track. Joe Hunt racing is GREAT. Haven't seen a bad race yet.

I talked to Roger at Hunt Magneto and he said that the series is on. Rules will stay the same and Chico, Placerville and Marysville already on board and he is working with Petaluma and a couple other track for the 2012 season.

Thanks Retta, So I'm not sure where this information leaves us. Joe Hunt is still non winged so the wingers are still 10 strong and need a meeting to decide what they are all about. This of course doesn't exclude the non wingers from attending and making all the comments and rendering any advice they have. It still sounds very expensive to run over the hill every weekend, especially if you can make some kind of arrangements to race within 70 to 100 miles from home and be home at a somewhat reasonable time. With a 10 car show you will have money in your pocket. If driving over the hill isn't to far to travel how can going to Lovelock or Fallon or maybe even Winnemucca a couple of times be to far? Is November 17TH OK with everyone?

It's not to far. But the problem is we can't get everyone to show up. If a big series like the Joe Hunt series came to Lovelock, it would be great publicity. Kinda of like the Iron man challenge but for sprint cars. I've never ran a winged car before, but from what I've learned/read, you can pretty much run the same bars, you just need to change the shocks and put a wider front axle on. That's not to big a deal for most of us as most of us already have an array of different shocks to choose from and an axle is only like $150.
