I think there should be no rule changes in the hobby stock's. just some clarifications. i also feel before any changes are made in any classes the board should call all the drivers in that class and take a poll on the proposed changes. That is the best way to keep it fair and not run anyone off. its been done before and the results were good.

make transponders mandatory in all classes. Raceivers is also a good idea. no more hassels about lineups and finishing positions.

i like racing to the yellow and the idea of not slowing down till the back stretch. i also like the idea of using transponders and racevers. hobbystocks should stay the same, if you lock the rear ends you might as well throw in weight jacks, change the carb and call yourself a streetstock/prostock.

Transponders and racievers or scanners in general are great ideas have run with both makes line ups faster. Still a quick food for thought on the spools or lockers. You can put a mini spool in for under $30. They provide a much better car control as you get better traction. I am new here and will change my car to meet rules. Also dont see the point in running beadlocks that cost $125 a wheel if the rear is open.

Isn't one of the big issues about racing back to the yellow, the difficutly for the scorers to figure out the exact position of everybody on the track when the yellow came out? Its not perfect but other tracks revert back to the position at the start/finish on the last lap before the yellow for the restart. its cheaper that transponders, etc. and alot safer. I'm also for keeping the rat mods at 318/326 inches or what ever it is. even bump it a couple of inches to let the 327's in. i've got a good running 283 but just couldn't afford to take it out the last couple years. Still hopen for next year. thanks, tom

Are there any changes that were made at the meeting in Thursday for those of us that could not make it?

I don't think transponders are necessary in every class...What is necessary is for driver's to KNOW where they are when they take the yellow, if they race to the yellow...or when the yellow comes out/prior lap if not racing to the yellow. It really isn't that difficult...If somebody is taking positions they shouldn't or dorking around with the lineup, send 'em to the back.
The cost for the lower classes simply isn't worth it, if people are paying attention.
