As a driver I would like to be able to have knowledge of any incident that may be happening on the track whether it be a stalled car by the wall that "jumped out" in front of them (lol) or a heads up there is a wreck that just happened behind me. I think raceceivers could have helped reduce some of the wrecks and they would also help to get drivers lined up again in the correct order without having to stop them on the back stretch just to get lined up. I haven't heard of a driver that isn't for using them! JMO

The track is not against using racereceivers at this point the track cannot afford to put that kind of money out to get them started. So if somebody is willing to fork out the money, then the track will be more than willing to use them.

racin4fun - what kind of money does the track need to spend on racecievers? I think that is where the big misunderstanding is - the track already has the radios they need to talk to raceceivers. The drivers are the ones that buy the racecivers not the track. Maybe the track could make a date; like two or three races away from now and make it well known by this date that racecivers will be required and then start using them. I have raceceivers in stock ready to purchase for any drivers that want them. I will even have some rentals available. I would even be willing to be the voice on the radio that communicates to the drivers. I may even work out a payment plan plenty of options for the board to choose from

THERE IT IS!!!!!!Can't make enough money from the pictures, so what IF I add raceceivers to my inventory to sell. Get a grip. That accident happened so fast, a person wouldn't be able issue a warning until it was over. That is if the "voice" was paying attention. Pure and simple with no cost to no one. STOP racing to the yellow. That would also help close the door a bit on any legal problems that could arise from racing to the yellow. Has anyone thought about why the pros and all the other tracks have stopped it. JMHO

I race in 2 different series where we use the raceceivers.... one, they work great for lining cars back up and getting your ass chewed under yellow for rough driving... in the legends, well not so much... the guy on the radio nevvvvver shuts up so you end up blocking out what they are saying while your racing and on top of that he sounds like he has a sack of marbles in his mouth, and we also had a huge wreck last year at our first race due to a car stopped on the back straight and nobody saying anything on the radio. So they are only as good as the people using them. Besides, with as loud as you guys are allowed to be I doubt you would be able to hear anything while your under green. The easiest, cheapest solution is NOT racing back to the yellow... then it would leave paying attention in the drivers hands. Dont know why they would still do it at ANY track but its pointless and dangerous... JMO

This is just getting silly, there was a wreck so lets make the drivers spend more money? Everytime a driver straps himself/herself into their race car he/she accepts the fact that this is a dangerous sport and acknowledges that they may get in an accident so lets quit complaining about what "might" have prevented an accident like this and move on
