I heard rumor that even though Sunday's DTC's were canceled due to rain, that the track refused to give refunds. Is this true? If so, how do the powers that be justify this??

I was asking the same thing. I guess they didn't approve of my comments so they deleted my posting. Maybe they will get back to you.

imozracing22z, was it one of those things where they threw together a couple of dashes so they could claim that people got what they paid for and to save themselves from having to give refunds? Or was there absolutely no racing at all Sunday??

The only refunds that were given out for this weekend were the two drivers that showed up Sunday and did not get to drive. All money that was paid on Saturday for this weekend will not be refunded as that determines our drivers getting paid out. I will be paying all the way down the field so that everyone gets a little bit. Sorry for not being able to race on Sunday but all points from Saturdays heats and qualifiers will be combined together to determine payouts.

When you pay one price for a weekend of racing, I understand that it's pretty much at your own risk as far as rain, etc. because the first day's entry fees and pit passes are how the payouts are calculated. They can't just readjust everything because of circumstances beyond their control, however, I am wondering more about the spectators... I was told that there were no refunds given to spectators. Is this true?

As a paying customer to your facility, I assumed that I was entitled to ask a question. No, I was not at THIS race, which is one of the only races I missed this year. I was told spectators were NOT given refunds, which if you talk to Retta you will see that instead of taking word of mouth, I asked the question on this forum so that one of you could answer it for me because I couldn't believe that Rattlesnake would not give refunds to the spectators that paid to get into to a show that did not take place. But you are getting all offended that I even asked the question and saying that the spectators WERE given refunds. Obviously, the previous post disagrees with that.

Your ridiculous "lumpy4080". If we are not allowed to ask questions and state how we feel then what is the point of this online board?

There is a difference between asking a question and assuming that something did not get done.

Your right. But we did not assume, we asked. And at the drivers meeting before they canceled it big boy lumpy didn't even give anyone a chance to talk, basically said no refunds were being made. I had family drive out there an pay 85 dollars for two people who got to see slow dashes. You had 91 cars. If I did my math right that is 9100 dollars. Not including spectators or crews. So the purses being given out were taken care of the first night. Where did the rest of that money go? Once again I am asking, not assuming.

BIG CHRIS, and all of the volunteers thank you for all of the time that you donated to bring great racing this season. I think if more people would offer assistance and less bitching about everything that can and probably will go wrong on any given night in this type of venue the track could be great. however Lumpy and his family come year after year to help at the track, donate time equipment and hard work, and all we do is pregnant dog. come on dirttracker get over it!

I love coming up every race and don't mind paying for it at all, but when an act of god creates a cancellation and the track decides that they are not going to pay back the spectators for Sunday then that is very disturbing on how everything is ran up there. We waited out the ran and even when we found out that they called the races we didn't even get any type of reimbursment for that day. I'm not the only person that feels this way since alot of people I'm friends with came that day and didn't get anything either so my only question is what will be done about this issue.
